Direct Help & Advice (DHA) is an independent charity operating The Derby Law Centre. We provide specialist legal advice, assistance and support to help people facing difficult circumstances, financial hardship and housing insecurity. Our services include Housing Legal Services, supporting eligible people with issues such as homelessness, eviction, rent arrears and serious disrepair, and Family Law Services, offering support with matters including domestic abuse, protective orders, child arrangements and care proceedings. Legal assistance is subject to eligibility and the scope of the issue, and Legal Aid may be available. We also provide debt advice and money-management support for eligible residents of Derby City, helping people understand their finances, explore debt solutions and build confidence in managing their money. At DHA, we aim to make specialist advice more accessible, help people understand their options and work with local organisations to support individuals and families in our community. Working together to support local people, prevent homelessness and improve lives.
