What is Pride in Place?

Pride in Place (PiP) is a major new programme giving local people the power to shape their neighbourhood.

Up to £20 million funding for our area
Investment over 10 years
Part of a £5 billion national programme
Focused on communities that need it most

This is your chance to decide what matters locally – and make it happen.What does it mean for Chaddesden West?A new Pride in Place Board will be created, made up of:

Local residents
Community groups
Businesses
Local councillors & MP

Together, they will create a Pride in Place Plan – a 10-year vision for improving the area.

What could the funding be used for?

That’s up to the community, but ideas could include:

Better parks, streets, and public spaces
New community hubs or meeting places
Support for young people and families
Improving local services and wellbeing
Boosting local businesses and jobs
